Student Guidelines (All Modes)

Attendance, punctuality and health

  • Regular attendance and punctuality in all classes are important obligations of the students. They are expected to maintain a high rate of attendance in all classes. Attendance in classes is governed by the policies stated in the student handbook.
  • Students who are not feeling well are advised to inform their teachers about their condition, stay home, and take proper medication. An excuse letter signed by the parent/guardian must be submitted to the teachers upon return to the class.

Identification, uniform and campus conduct

  • All students are required to wear ID and the prescribed school uniform.
  • Students under the influence of liquor are not allowed inside the school premises.
  • Students are expected to abide by other academic and non-academic policies and guidelines of the university stated in the student handbook.

Academic integrity and submissions

  • Authentic and scholarly outputs are expected from all students. Plagiarism and vandalism are strictly prohibited and punishable.
  • Observe on-time submission of outputs, activities, and other requirements.
  • Academic integrity is expected from all students. They should demonstrate good judgment and maintain positive relationships with teachers and fellow students.

In the classroom

  • Students must turn off their cellphones, set them to silent/muted, or put them in Do Not Disturb mode during class unless the teacher authorizes their use.
  • Students are directed to strictly observe teachers’ classroom management instructions (e.g., manner of submission of output, seating arrangements, classroom activities, etc.) as precautionary measures in preventing the spread of any communicable diseases.

Learning materials and communication

  • Uploaded learning modules and other learning materials in the Learning Management System (LMS) are exclusive for the use of the class only. Sharing of materials posted online and/or distributed manually without the consent of the author is prohibited.
  • Students are encouraged to regularly visit their Google Classroom account for announcements, updates, required readings and/or other activities posted by the teachers.
  • Inquiries, feedback, and clarifications are highly welcomed. Always observe proper channels and protocols when sending communications, inquiries, or grievances. Ensure that concerns are communicated during office hours to be responded to properly.

When classes are interrupted

  • Any unforeseen interruptions to regular classroom sessions (such as emergencies, suspensions, or other disruptions) will result in the temporary implementation of alternative learning modalities. The class will transition to synchronous and/or asynchronous learning activities to ensure the continuous delivery of lessons. Students are required to regularly check the designated class communication platforms (e.g., LMS, group chats, email) for updates and instructions.
