The Bachelor of Engineering Technology major in Mechanical Technology, Option A: Automotive Technology is focused on automotive systems, design, analysis, and technology application.
Program objectives
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering Technology major in Automotive Technology (BET-MET-AUTO) Program shall produce graduates who had:

Provide students with relevant and appropriate theoretical and practical know- how in automotive engineering technology.

Generate quality and innovative researches relative to automotive engineering technology for utilization and commercialization.

Extend program-generated technology and practical expertise to the community and other stakeholders to foster economic growth in the community.

- c.2 Identify, formulate, research, literature and analyze broadly-defined engineering technology problem reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization.
- c.3 Design solution for broadly –defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of system, components or processes to meet specific needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental consideration.
- c.4 Conduct investigation of broadly -defined problem; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusions.
- c.5 Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to broadly –defined engineering technology activities, with an understanding of the limitations.
- c.6 Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse technical term.
- c.7 Communicate effectively on broadly defined engineering technology activities with the engineering technology community and with social at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentation and give and receive clear instruction.
- c.8 Demonstrate understanding of the societal health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice.
